Richmond Community Bail Fund
This is a series of graphics I made for RCBF’s Instagram to publicize highlights from our 2020 Fiscal Transparency Statement and end-of-year fundraising. They were made to call attention to our decarceration work and make learning about our values and other day-to-day work, as documented in the statement, more accessible.
My goal with these materials was to illustrate in clear terms what we have been doing with the funds we raised after an influx of grassroots donations during the Summer of 2020.
Marijuana Justice
I served as a Digital Communications Specialist for Marijuana Justice for the 2021 Virginia General Assembly Session. I helped with outreach and the design of external communications for their successful Legalize It Right campaign.
My duties included writing copy, creating graphics and video assets for socials/newsletters/web, and other external communications with organizational partners and community members.
VA Peoples History Project
I edited, designed, and printed accordion-fold zines about the political history of Byrd Park in Richmond for the VA Peoples History Project, a political education project under the Highlander Research and Education Center.
I am currently planning a launch event for later in 2021, where we will release the zine at Byrd Park and distribute the publication for free to local residents.
VCU Department of Sociology
I made these instagram graphics for the Digital Sociology Lab to promote their pilot workshop series. The goal was to attract students who can attend the courses as well as build an identity for the newly-formed lab.
